The United Arab Emirates Department of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,002 cases on Thursday, the highest number in four months.
New infections have been detected after 365,269 Covid-19 tests have been performed nationwide in the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry, infected people have different nationalities, are in a stable condition and receive the necessary care.
The total number of cases recorded in the United Arab Emirates has now increased to 746,557.

In the United Arab Emirates, cases of Covid-19 have skyrocketed in the last few days. The final daily number of cases exceeded 1,000 on August 23, when the country reported 1,060 infections. Last week, the number of cases per day was as low as 200.
MoHAP also said Thursday that no Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, leaving the total number of deaths in the country at 2,154.
An additional 339 people were fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recovery to 739,616.
The United Arab Emirates urges the public to be vigilant, especially during the holiday season.
Earlier this month, the country announced new guidelines to follow during Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations in the country.
According to the United Arab Emirates National Emergency and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA), the capacity of the celebration venue is limited to 80%.
All participants must provide the results of a negative PCR test performed within 96 hours and take the required temperature test.
