United Arab Emirates announces 2,366 cases, 840 recovery and 2 deaths

The United Arab Emirates Department of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that it has detected 2,366 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Therefore, the total number of cases recorded in the UAE is 759,511.

New cases were discovered after 425,682 tests were performed to screen for the virus.

According to the ministry, infected people have different nationalities, are in a stable condition and receive the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced two deaths from Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,162.

MoHAP also stated that an additional 840 people had fully recovered from the infection, with a total recovery of 744,180.

Meanwhile, to limit the spread of Covid-19, Dubai International Airport will conduct random PCR tests on passengers upon arrival.

Authorities have confirmed that as a precautionary measure, additional tests are being conducted on flights not on this list.

Passengers arriving from the UK confirmed that they had been tested at Dubai Airport upon arrival. The UK is not on the list of countries that require PCR testing.
