United Arab Emirates DMCC Launches Impact Scale-up Program for Entrepreneurs

Dubai Multicommodity Center (DMCC) today launches impact scale-up program in partnership with Companies Creation Change (C3), a UAE-based social enterprise that empowers influence-led entrepreneurs in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. I announced that I did.
The program supports 20 companies that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, establishes a presence in the UAE, and leverages the local ecosystem as a starting point for successful expansion throughout the MEA region. I will be able to do it. Comprehensive training and networking programs provide a proven blueprint for successful entry into the UAE market, as well as connections with local and regional investors and leading companies.
The application is currently open and will end on April 30th.
The DMCC is the first free zone in the UAE to support companies with such social objectives. In August 2017, DMCC became GCC’s first free zone, committed to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and encouraged responsible business practices throughout the value chain. As part of its commitment to the UNGC, the DMCC also publishes an annual sustainability report highlighting the progress of its sustainability goals.
Feryal Ahmadi, COO of DMCC, said: This is the philosophy that DMCC practices and is what we encourage throughout the community of over 20,000 member companies. In doing so, it expands and expands the scope of ESGs and supports the UAE’s sustainability agenda. Partnering with C3 is the latest step in this journey. We aim to enable businesses that have a significant positive impact around the world. “
The DMCC currently allocates 0.5% of its annual profits to social impact initiatives.
Medea Nocentini, founder of C3, said: In the local market, there are great opportunities for companies that are influential at the core of the strategy, so we look forward to embarking on an expansion journey and being able to have a positive impact on the region as a whole. “
