Update: Grech remains a PN leader with about 80% of councilor votes

About 80% of nationalist party councilors voted for Bernard Grec to maintain the leader shop.

Although no official results are available, PN Election Commission President Peter Fenech said Grech is likely to have won 80% of the votes.

Ninety percent of nationalist party councilors voted for the election to approve Bernard Grec as a leader.

The voting process ends at 5 pm and results are expected shortly.

Gretsch needed one of the votes in addition to 50 percent to be identified as a leader.

The number of voters was 1,566.

Gretsch took over the PN reins in October 2020.

He was the only candidate for that post. The party is now proceeding to the election of a deputy leader to complete the post-election process.
