US mission to UAE, startAD launches application for ‘AWE UAE 3.0 – Women in Business’ initiative

NYU Abu Dhabi-based startAD, an Abu Dhabi-based accelerator provided by Tamkeen in partnership with the U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates, launched the Women Entrepreneurship Academy (AWE) program titled “AWE UAE” Application for the 3rd edition of has started. 3.0 – Women in Business”.

The program is a U.S. Department of State initiative that provides women entrepreneurs in more than 80 countries around the world with the knowledge, networks and access they need to start and scale successful businesses.

Applications opened on September 19th and closed on November 29th. This three-month program will enable UAE women-owned SMEs to identify and analyze new channels, markets and customers.

It also strengthens operational business pillars that these companies may not have the resources or experience to build, with a focus on identifying business resilience, adaptability and growth opportunities.

Launching December 13th, the program will consist of workshops, mentoring, and one-on-one coaching with experienced business strategists, innovation experts, and mentors. Culminating on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2023, the finalist will present her achievements and business to key stakeholders in her ecosystem of program her partners and her UAE Innovations.
