U.S. Navy ship crossing Covid to Guantanamo Bay

The Navy said the U.S. Navy’s warships had suspended their deployment in South America due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The Littoral Combat Ship USS Milwaukee is staying at the port of the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, which was moored for a planned port call.

The Navy said in a statement that more than 100 of the ship’s crew were “100% immunized,” and that anyone who tested positive for Covid-19 went to the ship away from the other crew. He said he was quarantined. The number of crew members who tested positive was not disclosed.

Brazil reports 164 deaths and 4,164 cases

According to data released by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, Brazil has enrolled 164 Covid-19 deaths and 4,164 additional cases.

South America is the world’s second-largest country in total colonavirus deaths, but new deaths and cases have occurred in recent months.

Brazil currently enrolls a total of 618,392 Covid-19 deaths and more than 22.2 million confirmed cases.

China enrolls 140 Covid cases, killing 0

China reported 140 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus on December 24, according to Chinese health officials. This is an increase from 87 cases the day before.

According to a statement from the National Health Commission, 87 of the new infections were locally transmitted, compared to 55 the day before. Most of the new local cases occurred in the northwestern part of Shaanxi Province.

China reported 24 new asymptomatic cases, which were classified separately from the confirmed cases and decreased from 26 the previous day.

There were no new deaths, with 4,636 deaths. In mainland China, there were 100,871 confirmed cases as of December 24.

US approves Roche’s 20-minute Covid test

According to Roche, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to the Covid-19 Rapid Home Test for people up to the age of 14.

Roche said the product will be available in the US market from January.
