US Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland to Sri Lanka

Colombo (No.1 News) – Victoria Nuland, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, has arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit.

Her visit is said to mark the 75th anniversary of US-Sri Lanka relations, according to the US State Department.

The ministry added that the visit also symbolizes the continued provision of US support to Sri Lanka’s efforts to stabilize the economy, protect human rights and promote reconciliation.

This is her second visit to Sri Lanka in a year, and on the previous visit she sought to meet with former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and officials.
