Vaccination begins on Monday with the fourth vaccination of the COVID vaccine – Romanian Journal

Romanians over the age of 18 will be eligible for a fourth dose of anticovid vaccine containing serum from Pfizer BioNTech from May 16th. The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday. Vaccinations are available on request at the vaccination center or at your doctor’s office.

According to a statement from the ministry, a fourth dose of Pfizer vaccine is only available to those who have received the first three doses of the messenger RNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna).

The fourth dose of vaccination will begin on May 16, 2022 at the Vaccination Center and Family Medicine, as recommended by the EMA and ECDC.

People over the age of 18 who have been vaccinated with the messenger RNA vaccine three times and have been vaccinated with COVID-19 can apply for a fourth vaccination. The fourth vaccination can be given at least 4 months after the third vaccination.

According to the statement, it is recommended to give a fourth dose of the vaccine, especially for people over the age of 60.

The proof of the fourth vaccination is represented by a vaccination certificate or digital certificate generated from the National Electronic Vaccination Register.
