Vaccination is civil and moral obligation says Mattarella-English

(ANSA)-Rome, July 28-President Sergio Mattarella said Wednesday that it was a moral obligation to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

“The pandemic isn’t behind us yet,” Mattarella said at a traditional “fan” ceremony before the parliament’s summer vacation, the last of his seven-year head of state.

“The virus has mutated and is more contagious.

“The longer the circulation, the more frequent and dangerous the mutation can be.

“We can contain it thanks to the vaccine.

“Vaccines do not make us invincible, but they significantly reduce the chances of getting a virus, its circulation, and its risk.

“For these reasons, vaccination is a moral and civil obligation.” (ANSA).
