Valaris announces further drilling contract

Valaris, an offshore drilling contractor, announced on Tuesday a new contract group to use its rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea of ​​the United Kingdom and off Australia.

Valaris said it has signed a one-well contract with Kosmos Energy in the Gulf of Mexico for the semi-submersible Valaris DPS-5. The contract is scheduled to begin in February 2022 and has an estimated duration of 105 days.

The company also reported a one-well contract for the semi-submersible VALARIS MS-1 with Western Gas off the coast of Australia. The deal begins in the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to have an estimated term of 25 days.

We have also won a 6-well plug-and-abandonment agreement with Centrica Storage in the North Sea of ​​the United Kingdom for VARARIS Norway, a heavy-duty, harsh environmental jack-up. The contract will begin in the third quarter of 2022 and is expected to have an estimated duration of 100 days.

Valaris has reported a one-well contract for the standard, up-to-date jack-up, VARARIS 144, with a private operator in the Gulf of Mexico, USA. The deal will begin in the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to have a minimum term of 68 days.
