Eneti Inc. announces that its subsidiary Seajacks UK Limited, a provider of offshore wind installation and maintenance vessels, has signed a contract with Dutch marine contractor Van Oord for the charter of the wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) Seajacks Scylla. Did.

Seajacks Scylla, the largest and most capable ship in the Seajacks fleet, is currently employed in Taiwan until 2022. The vessel will move to Europe once the existing turbine installation contract with Ørsted, the Greater Chanfa Offshore Wind Farm, is completed.

The solid charter period of the Van Oord deal will generate about $ 60 million in revenue in 2023, Enetti said.

Emanuele Lauro, CEO of Eneti, said: In the UK and Europe in 2024 and 2025, wind turbines have increased in size and weight and are located further offshore. “

Arnoud Kuis, Managing Director of Van Oord Offshore Wind, said: This cooperation will enable us to realize our growth ambitions in the offshore wind markets both inside and outside Europe. “

Blair Ainslie, CEO of Seajacks, said: Scylla was previously chartered by Van Oord in 2019 to install monopile and transition pieces at the Deutsche Bucht Offshore Wind Farm in Germany. We had a positive experience there, and we look forward to another safe and efficient installation project. “

To date, Seajacks has installed more than 500 offshore wind turbines in Europe and more recently in Taiwan. Seajacks UK owns and operates five vessels designed by Gusto MSC, all of which can install and maintain offshore wind farms in harsh conditions.
