Verdini’s fraudulent bankruptcy conviction upheld-English

(ANSA)-May 3 Rome-Former Senator Denis Verdini’s conviction for fraudulent bankruptcy in the case of the local newspaper STE was upheld by the Florentine Court of Appeals on Tuesday with a relevant imprisonment of 5 years and 6 months. it was done.

This is one of several incidents faced by the 70-year-old, a close ally of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, before leaving Forza Italia in 2015 to form his now-deceased party.

Verdini currently holds a six-and-a-half-year term in connection with the bankruptcy of Credito Cooperativo Fiorentino Bank.

On Tuesday, the Florence Court of Appeals also upheld a three-year term in the proceedings of the former MP Massimo Parisi.
