Visa application processing company VFS Global has announced a change in operational timing at its centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Customers in the United Arab Emirates can visit the Visa Application Center from Monday to Friday, but the center is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The center operates Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. It runs at the same time on Fridays, but there is a prayer break from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.
The latest decision was made in line with the UAE Government’s recent decision to adopt a new work week schedule starting January 2, 2022.

“VAC’s business hours in the UAE will be revised according to the instructions received from the relevant embassies / consulates,” said Atul Marwah, Head of Middle East and North Africa at VFS Global.
If you do not wish to visit the center, you can choose the Visa at Your Door Step Service. This will allow you to submit a visa application and register for biometrics from your chosen location.
In addition to the Application Center, the VFS Global Philippines ePassport Renewal Centers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will continue to operate 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. Filipinos residing in the UAE who own an ePassport can apply for renewal by pre-booking before visiting the center.
