The arrival of the fifth car maker has already been confirmed by the government.

“Today we were able to achieve another big goal, which is to bring new investors to the east of our country with many direct and indirect jobs,” said the economy. Minister Richard Slick said.

Volvo currently has two factories in Europe. Ghent, Belgium and Torsland, Sweden. The Slovak factory will be built in the Valariky Industrial Estate near Košice. Construction of the plant is planned for 2023, with equipment and production lines installed during 2024.
