Widdo meets South Korean President in Seoul

Jakarta (Antara)-President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with South Korean President Yun Suk-yul at the Yongsan Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul on Thursday night.

The two leaders held a limited meeting in a separate room before holding a bilateral meeting with delegations from both countries, according to a statement released here by the presidential press and received here Thursday.

During the meeting, Widdo congratulated Yun on being elected President of South Korea. He said he believes that under Yun’s leadership, the bilateral relations between Indonesia and South Korea will improve.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Ministry of Maritime Investment Coordination and South Korea’s Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries have started maritime cooperation.
