Will Workday's new AI agent set it apart from the competition?
Specific agents for specific tasks
Workday's new Illuminate platform is powered by the more than 800 billion business transactions the company processes annually. According to Workday, its goal is to provide real-time AI assistance within workflows and give each user a “team” of AI experts. Generative AI helps speed up tasks like creating knowledge pieces, job descriptions, and contracts. The platform also offers automation tools like auto-fill, document scanning, prompts, and anomaly detection.
The platform integrates four new AI agents: Recruiter, Expenses, Succession, and Optimize. According to Workday, Recruiter helps with candidate discovery, talent recommendations, and automating outreach and interview scheduling. It can also provide insights into candidate profiles. The company reports that customers are already seeing a 25% improvement in recruiter capabilities.
According to Workday, Expenses Agent “virtually eliminates” the need for manual expense reporting as reports are created, submitted and approved, helping to save companies hundreds of thousands of dollars in spending each year fixing expense report errors.
