Wine – Maritavola Nº 5

Discovery of wine and ham at the Portimao market

A friend recently told me about a new stall that opened in the Portimão market.

But I was equally impressed with the small and very selective selection of wines, where on the bottom shelf I found a small selection of my favorite Douro producer, Marita Vola. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen these wines in major supermarkets for a long time.

I picked up a 16 euro bottle of white. This is a blend of some of the most traditional white Douro grapes. Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Viosinho. For lovers of good, unoaked, authentic white Douro wines, this is the perfect gift. A nice tropical fruit in the nose, you can feel the purity of the fruit in your mouth.

The red wines are also excellent, so when you come to this new stall, which has only been open for four months, be sure to take a peek at the bottom shelf of the wine display.
