Woman died in a plane crash on Long Island – Nassau Guardian

Police confirmed that the woman had died after a plane crashed about two miles from the Deadman’s Kay runway on Long Island on Sunday morning.

“Seven souls were on board a twin-engine aircraft about two miles from Deadman’s Kay Airport in a bush,” said Police Secretary Paul Roll.

“One adult woman was injured and collapsed.

“Police are using the coordinates given to identify the scene and, with the help of a US Coast Guard helicopter, are helping victims evacuate for medical assistance.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Aviation and Investment Chester Cooper said all government agencies were involved.

“This is a rescue operation right now,” he said.

Although information is limited, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau said the plane was reported to be Piper Navajo, which crashed during takeoff from Deadman’s Kay.
