“War is Over! If You Want It – A Tribute to Yoko Ono” opens next Sunday at the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest.
Featuring paintings, sculptures, installations, and short films, the exhibition focuses on the wish for peace of one of Japan’s most celebrated performing artists and musicians, the widow of John Lennon, who turns 90 in February. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to help Transcarpathian victims of the Russian-Ukrainian war, said Laszlo L. Simon, director of the museum. The exhibition will be on display until February 18, 2023.
