(KRON) – Caltrans has scheduled to shut the Dumbarton Bridge (State Route 84) within the eastbound course for 5 nights in October and November 2023 for repaving.
The Dumbarton Bridge is to be utterly closed within the eastbound course between the hours of seven p.m. and 5 a.m. for 5 nights, Oct. 30 by means of Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 by means of Nov. 3.
The westbound course of the Dumbarton Bridge will stay open.
Detours
- Motorists headed to the East Bay from San Francisco and San Mateo can take the San Mateo Bridge (State Route 92) from the Metropolis of San Mateo to Hayward.
- Motorists headed to Milpitas or Fremont from the South Bay can take Calaveras Boulevard (State Route 237).
The aim of the repaving is to boost security and provides motorists a smoother experience on the Dumbarton Bridge.
