2 killed in Orange crash on Thanksgiving Day; driver arrested on suspicion of DUI – Orange County Register
A 26-year-old driver was arrested on Thanksgiving Day after police in Orange stated whereas intoxicated he plowed his truck into one other truck that was parked, killing two males inside.
Police stated the suspect, Humberto Lopez Flores of Orange, fled on foot after the crash, at about 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23, within the 700 block of North Shattuck Place.
However officers patrolling the world discovered him and arrested him close to Lincoln Road and Oakmont Avenue a short while later.
Police stated he was headed south on Shattuck when his Ford F-250 smashed into the parked Chevy Silverado. They stated he was arrested on suspicion of being drunk on the time of the crash.
The victims of the crash had been recognized as Jose Huerta, 51, of Orange and Manuel Ortiz, 59, of Santa Ana.
