Candlelight vigil deliberate for 4 Pepperdine college students killed in crash

Neighborhood members are gathering this night to recollect the 4 Pepperdine College college students who had been killed in a crash earlier this week. The candlelight vigil is part of a day of mourning that started with a prayer service on Thursday morning. 

4 Pepperdine College college students, Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir and Deslyn Williams, had been killed earlier this week after authorities say a dashing driver hit them on the Pacific Coast Freeway roughly 4 miles east of the college round 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

College students, school, pals and family members are mourning the 4 younger girls who had been seniors at Pepperdine’s Seaver Faculty of Liberal Arts.

“This morning, we collect as a group in grief,” stated Dr. Tim Spidey, Affiliate Vice President for Religious Life at Pepperdine. “The one phrases I’ve for you within the midst of this horrible storm are his phrases, peace I go away you, my peace I offer you.”
