Petaluma lady arrested for punching, strangling canine: police
(KRON) — A Petaluma lady was arrested after she was seen punching and strangling her canine Thursday evening, in accordance with the Cotati Police Division. Police say she was strangling the animal with a leash.
Officers had been dispatched and made contact with the suspect. Nonetheless, she refused to establish herself because the suspect police obtained a name about. The lady, 54, additionally resisted arrest.
The suspect was finally arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail, police stated. She was charged with felony cruelty to animals and a misdemeanor of obstructing/resisting an officer.
The canine sufferer of the incident was taken to the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter “to be correctly cared for.” Cotati police didn’t launch the suspect’s title.
