Deputy hospitalized after Contra Costa County Sheriff’s automobile crashes in East Bay pursuit
(KRON) — A deputy was taken to the hospital after their car crashed within the East Bay in a single day Saturday, the Contra Costa County Sheriff confirmed. Round 1:55 a.m., the deputy tried to conduct a site visitors cease in El Sobrante.
Nonetheless, the car didn’t cease on the deputy’s command, which prompted a automobile chase that went westbound on I-80 into Oakland and eastbound I-580. Across the I-580/SR-24 intersection in Oakland, the suspect car slammed its brakes, rotated and crashed into the pursuing sheriff patrol car, authorities stated.
The suspect tried to run away however was finally caught and brought into custody. The deputy was taken to the hospital as a precaution and was later launched that morning, authorities stated.
