Former SF Giants pitcher dies at 57

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Former San Francisco Giants pitcher Jim Poole has died, the group introduced on social media Saturday afternoon. He was 57 years previous.

Poole, who performed faculty baseball at Georgia Tech, spent three seasons in San Francisco from 1996 to 1998, together with the 1997 marketing campaign by which the Giants gained the NL West. The reliever pitched a complete of 105.1 innings as a Large, in accordance with Baseball-Reference.

The Giants didn’t disclose the circumstances of Poole’s passing.

Poole performed 11 MLB seasons, together with stints with the Dodgers, Phillies and Rangers. He posted a profession ERA of 4.31 in 363 innings.

He liked Georgia Tech and was devoted to serving our coaches and gamers for a few years. He epitomized the which means of a Tech Man. God relaxation his soul.”
