BMW Recall: Seatbelt Malfunction in 2024 and 2025 Vehicles

BMW is recalling 3,256 vehicles due to a seatbelt system malfunction. The NHTSA report states that the seatbelt system may fail to detect passengers’ seatbelt usage, resulting in the seatbelt warning light not illuminating. This issue can cause the supplemental restraint system (SRS) to improperly deploy during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Affected owners will have the front seat lower seat belts inspected and replaced as needed, free of charge. Notification letters are expected by July 5.

Ford Recall: Software Error Affecting Drive Power

Ford is recalling 8,727 vehicles due to a software error in the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM) that may cause the vehicle to shift into neutral unexpectedly, leading to a loss of drive power. This can increase the risk of a crash. Owners will have the HPCM software updated at no cost. Recall notification letters are expected by May 23.

Honda Recall: Rearview Camera Malfunction in Ridgeline Trucks

This can increase the risk of a crash. Owners will have the rearview camera tailgate wire harness replaced at no charge. Notification letters are expected by July 1.
